Wuddhouse 1 – Innovative Timber Building with a Focus on the Environment

10/05/2019

Wuddhouse 1 is a modern and innovative workshop building completed in 2018 in Sigtuna. The project, developed by the client David Uddare, Nordnest’s CFO, was nominated for the Wood Award 2020, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable construction and pioneering design.

The construction combines the use of glulam and CLT (cross-laminated timber), chosen for the superior technical and environmental benefits that wood offers. Wood is not only a sustainable material choice but also provides an excellent working environment

At Nordnest, we place great emphasis on sustainability and environmental considerations when undertaking a project. Our choice of timber in construction is not only because it is a renewable and climate-friendly material but also due to its technical properties, which enable flexible and innovative solutions.

Wuddhouse 1 is a clear example of how we combine modern architecture with environmental benefits.
