7. Delivery Models and Configuration Options

With Ekonod Plus, the hub is supplied by Ekonod and the bathroom can be sourced from any supplier—an installation package with no requirement to use an Ekonod bathroom. You decide how the bathroom is built.

Ekonod Plus delivers the services hub as a factory-assembled, quality-controlled product. The bathroom itself can be:

• Built on site by your own contractors
• Supplied by your existing bathroom module provider
• Procured through your framework agreement
• The decentralised system is industrialised, while the bathroom can continue under your current procurement model
• You get almost all the system benefits of decentralisation
• No DHW circulation loops and much shorter pipe runs
• Energy and CO₂ performance is almost identical to Premium
• Simpler commissioning thanks to factory-tested hubs
• Faults are isolated to a single apartment
• Digital readiness with Matter and Modbus as standard
• Predictable servicing and minimal variation

What differs from Ekonod Premium:

• Moisture protection inside the bathroom depends on the contractor or module supplier
• More trades are working inside the bathroom
• Slightly less optimisation of ceiling height and service shafts
• Not a fully “apartment-as-a-station” flow, but still far better than traditional methods
• Slightly slower than Premium, but still much faster and calmer than traditional installations

Ekonod Plus is the low-barrier option. You keep your bathroom strategy, while future-proofing the system.

For projects that are not yet ready to procure modules, Ekonod offers advisory and design support. With Ekonod Advisory and Design Support, decentralised thinking comes before decentralised hardware.
