Lifecycle Analysis
LCA is a method for analysing a building’s environmental impact throughout its entire lifecycle, from raw material extraction to operation and demolition. The analysis is used to identify the most environmentally impactful stages, materials, and processes with the aim of minimising environmental impact and creating an environmentally sustainable building. Furthermore, the methodology can be used to compare two competing options, for example from a climate perspective.
Through an LCA, the client gains a detailed understanding of the building’s environmental impact, enabling well-informed decisions regarding the choice of materials, products, system solutions, energy sources, and processes. This leads to a more sustainable building with, for example, reduced carbon emissions and a clear environmental profile for the client.
We deliver LCA reports that include a comprehensive assessment of the building’s environmental impact, identification of critical materials and processes, and recommendations to reduce impact and meet sustainability goals.
